Flexco Pulley Lagging
When conventional rubber lagging fails to correct belt slippage, the solution is Flex-Lag® Ceramic Tile Lagging. Our Ceramic Tile Lagging features the highest coefficient of friction available in lagging materials – two to three times the friction of rubber in wet, muddy or dry conditions.
Ceramic tiles consisting of a raised profile pattern of buttons are moulded into a durable rubber backing. Under normal belt compression, thousands of moulded ceramic buttons embed themselves into the belt’s underside, providing positive, non-abrasive traction. The raised pattern of our ceramic surface features a unique design that eliminates the sharp particles and abrasive edges associated with other styles of ceramic lagging.
Flex Lagg Rubber
Flexco makes it easy to find the pulley lagging you need to eliminate belt slippage, increase pulley life, improve water shedding, and boost productivity. Plus, these benefits are achieved without removing the pulley form your conveyor system! Flex-Lag® application requires only a time- and labour-saving cold vulcanization process. So it installs easily on-site.
Flex-Lag® Diamond-Pattern Rubber Lagging is a high-durometer rubber for abrasion resistance and water-shedding. Based on the design of treads used for rain tires, the diamond pattern splits the film of water and deflects it into lateral or diamond-shaped grooves – away from the pulleys. A high coefficient of friction, combined with exceptional water-shedding capabilities, helps keep belt slippage to the absolute minimum.
Flex-Lag® Diamond Ceramic Lagging
Flex Lag® Diamond Ceramic lagging has been developed to provide an alternative ceramic lagging option for low to medium tension conveyor pulleys, providing the advantages of a ceramic product at a more affordable level. The product is also suitable for existing rubber lagging applications where there is higher than expected wear rate.
Flex Lag® Diamond Ceramic is manufactured in the same pattern as the existing Flex-Lag® Diamond Rubber Lagging with a ceramic tile moulded into the large diamond section of the lagging at 100 mm centres, providing a substantially increased co-efficient of friction.
Based on prior testing of the rubber and ceramic lagging products, Flex Lag® Diamond Ceramic provides slightly higher co-efficient of friction ratings than Flex Lag® Rubber and lower co-efficient of friction ratings than our premium Flex-Lag® Ceramic.
These pulleys where suffering from heavy wear at the edge of the conveyor belt.
